Things That Sober You Up Fast for $500, Alex

After a ten-hour workday yesterday and a frenzied day at work today (since the production manager doesn't do shit, and I'm basically mopping up after him), Mia and I went to the Sweet Charity cast signing this evening, which was over by the time we got there (an hour late). We headed back to my office, where I finished up odds and ends, and then hit Marie's for happy hour. Which I hit hard. I was knocking back Cosmos in three minutes flat, and by the time 9:45 came around, I'd had eight.

9:45 being the time the Czar called me and told me he's firing the production manager and having me take over for the week of filming. Starting tomorrow.

Oh yes, my friends- starting tomorrow, I'm in charge of the entire shoot. And I was drunk when I heard this.

Mia and I quickly got into gear, and in the last hour I have managed to clean the apartment, pack, get the trash ready to take out on my way to work tomorrow (where I have to be at about 8am), eat 12ounces of blueberries, shower, and now post. The fact that I had to feign sobriety wasn't that hard; when I understood what the Czar wanted, I sobered up fairly quickly.

This week is going to either make or break me. We'll see which it is.

I will have internet. Posts may or may not happen. However, emails are encouraged and appreciated.

Speaking of encouragement, Bobby left me an incredibly nice and supportive voicemail message tonight. He gets short shrift here (as he pointed out the other night and again today), but our disagreements are (whether or not they come across here as such) the good kind, the ones that make you question your positions and stands.

Hopefully I will succeed this week. This is my chance to prove myself. And make a bucket-full of money!
